Chocolate Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 2 stick butter
  • 1 1/4 csugar
  • 1 1/2 cself-rising flour
  • 1 tspvanilla
  • 3/4 cmilk

CHOCOLATE LAYER

  • 1 csugar
  • 6 Tbspcocoa powder
  • 2 cboiling water




How to Make Chocolate Cobbler

  1. Two sticks of butter melting in the oven.
  2. Preheat oven to 350. In a 9x13 glass baking dish, melt the two sticks of butter in the oven for 5 minutes.
  3. Sugar, flour, vanilla, and milk mixed together.
  4. Meanwhile in a bowl, mix together the 1 1/4 cups of sugar, flour, vanilla, and milk.
  5. Batter poured over the butter.
  6. Once the butter is melted, pour the batter over the butter, but do not stir.
  7. Cocoa and sugar mixed together.
  8. In a separate bowl, mix together the cocoa and remaining sugar.
  9. Cocoa mixture sprinkled into the baking dish.
  10. Sprinkle cocoa/sugar mixture on top of batter. Do not stir.
  11. Pouring hot water into the baking dish.
  12. Pour the 2 cups of boiling water on top of that (don't stir).
  13. Chocolate Cobbler baking in the oven.
  14. Bake for 40-45 minutes. I bake mine until I have a nice golden brown crust.
  15. Warm chocolate cobbler with melting vanilla ice cream.
  16. Serve warm. Great with ice cream.
